A delegation of faculty members from KFUPM visited the National Center for Nuclear Research in Poland to explore opportunities for collaborative research in nuclear energy. During the visit, the Center recognized Dr. Afaque Shams, an associate professor in the Mechanical Engineering department, for his seminar on the importance of nuclear power reactor design and safety. Dr. Afaque Shams was recently appointed as the Acting Director of the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Industrial Nuclear Energy.
